My Favourite Films for the Perfect Cosy Night In

My Favourite Films for the Perfect Cosy Night In
This is a sponsored post.

With the dark, cold nights rolling in, what better time to make sure that you have the perfect set-up for that perfect, cosy night in? One of my most favourite things to do is to snuggle down with some snacks and a film!
Panasonic is a brand that I have used in the past and I trust their products, so when I was recently contacted to mention their new 4k HDR TV Panasonic for 2018, I thought it would be a great opportunity to recommend some of my must-have films for the perfect cosy night in!

Now I know that some people are long past watching DVDs but if you’re anything like me, then your DVD collection is still very much growing.  Therefore, I’ve split my film recommendations into ones that you can currently find on Netflix UK, and films that you can grab on DVD.

Crazy Stupid Love

This is one of my favourite rom-coms! It stars Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone (are you instantly sold?) and basically follows the lives and intertwining relationships of a bachelor and a recently divorced man. It’s full of laughs and “aww” moments.

Bridget Jones’s Baby

I feel like a cosy night in would not be complete without this leading lady. I love all of the Bridget Jones films but this is the one you can currently find on Netflix. If you haven’t guessed – Bridget Jones has a baby, except her 2 encounters sort of run into one another.

Footloose (2011)

This is the latest version of Footloose starring Julianne Hough and Kenny Wormald. I really like this updated version of the classic and LOVE the dance numbers! Your cosy night in might turn into a living room line-dancing session.

Bride Wars

This one is great for a girls night in. Essentially, 2 best friends have had their weddings planned since they were about 10 years old – except the wedding planner makes a fatal error and puts both brides at war with each other!

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before

I had to include this one! I wasn’t going to give in to the fuss because I’m not one for pure romance films, but one night I thought I’d give it a go. It was SO GOOD! Yes it’s got the traits of a cheesy, rom-com – but it was so worth watching!

However, if you’re more into watching a series, here’s some series recommendations instead.

The Greatest Showman

My favourite film this year. The music, choreography and story are absolutely mesmerising. So please, grab your popcorn, snuggle in and be prepared to be playing the songs everyday for the rest of the year!

Burlesque

This is actually one of my all-time favourite musicals. It’s got Cher AND Christina Aguilera in it – what more could you want?! Also, not going to lie – this film makes me want to move to LA and join the club!

Rock of Ages

This musical follows the lives of an *almost* has-been rock star, young wannabe rock stars and the birth place of the rock stars. It’s not to everyone’s taste but it’s full of rock classics and fun so definitely give it a go!

The Devil Wears Prada

This films gives you the sassiest Meryl Streep and the stubborn but brilliant Anne Hathaway. Andy (Hathaway) is determined to not give up on the fashion magazine world even though her boss is one hell of a woman. This is one of my ideal films for a cosy night in because you completely immerse yourself in the lives of the characters and the lines never get old!

The Ugly Truth

Another of my favourite rom-coms. Basically, Mike (Gerard Butler) aims to overhaul the hopeless romantic that is Abby (Katherine Heigl) so that her neighbour will like her. So no, not quite the nod to feminism – but it’s a rom-com, so of course there’s a happy, unexpected but expected ending. I still giggle and love this film – even though I’ve seen it at least 5 times!

Are you all set for your perfect cosy night in? Although, with the amount of films here there could be quite a few cosy nights in – but who’s complaining?

Have you seen any of these films? What films do you like to snuggle down with?
