Grosvenor Casino Aberdeen | New Menu
DISCLAIMER: A friend and I were invited by the casino in Aberdeen to sample pieces of the new menu and learn the basics of some casino games.
Grosvenor casino have a new menu and I was lucky enough to be able to try some new delicious food.
My friend and I were treated to numerous courses of some tasters and I think it’s the most experimental I’ve been with food. I’m usually a fussy eater but it was great to push the boundaries of my taste buds a bit.
This was the first course brought out to us and we didn’t know where to start. As you can see there are many different flavours available as a starter. The fried halloumi was great and for the first time ever I tried prawns and really surprised myself with how much I liked them!
The flat bread and chick pea dip from the first picture was very nice – another first for me. The middle dish from that picture is fried calamari. I’ve never tried that before either and I surprised myself with how much I liked it.
The second picture was part of the “main course”. While the noodles were too spicy for me my friend seemed to enjoy them, so if spicy food is your kind of thing then this would be up your street!
Dessert was definitely my favourite course – isn’t it everyone’s?! On the left is waffles with ice cream and maple syrup and it was delicious! The waffles were nice and crispy and the ice cream complimented it perfectly. On the right is salted caramel chocolate roulade. This one too was amazing and my friend very much agreed.
After we were very full, we were taken over to the tables where we learned the basics of blackjack and roulette.
My friend and I would like to thank the casino very much for inviting us along to try out some of the new menu, At times it was a bit too spicy for us but I’m glad I managed to try new things and discover some new foods. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and we definitely want to go back and try out some of the other courses on offer!
