Pamper nights – the perfect stress relief at the end of a trying day.
I think it is so important to pamper yourself every now and then and treat yourself to a night of just chilling and perfecting that skincare routine.
In this post I will share with you my pamper routine that always makes my at-home spa day a success.
Quick, Warm Shower
Never make a pamper evening the same night that you are washing your hair. Wet hair, drying hair, styling hair? No thanks, I don’t want to be wasting precious pampering time standing in front of a mirror.
Get in that shower, wash that body with a lovely smelling body wash, maybe exfoliate…and get out!
A bubbly bath would probably be the best option but I don’t have a bath in my house (sad face), so for those of you who are like me – a steamy, hot shower is the best we got!
Before you get your comfy pyjamas on, spend a little time making that skin nice and smooth. I would highly recommend the Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Spray Moisturiser. This moisturiser smells AMAZING, it’s easy to apply, and makes those freshly shaved legs shiny and smooooth.
In my opinion, this is the most vital part to a spa night at home. There a tonnes of lovely face masks out there – if you’ve got a bit more to spend, have a look for the branded masks like Origins, L’Oreal etc.
Or, if you don’t want to commit to a large tub, try the little packet ones you can find in supermarkets & drugstores for around £1 (these ones). I’ve got loads of these and have used them for many years. They are really easy to get a hold of and come in an array of scents and each one achieves something different. I can usually get 2 uses out of one packet which is great value for money!
Films & Netflix
A pamper evening wouldn’t be complete without the perfect entertainment to go with it.
Maybe think about what it is you want to watch beforehand so you’re not wasting precious time scrolling through Netflix or your DVD collection (does anyone else still have hundreds of DVDs?).
Everyone’s film taste is different but I usually go for a chick flick or something light-hearted and fun.
Some of my go-to films are The Greatest Showman, Mean Girls, The Ugly Truth, Spy and Bad Teacher.
Maybe you’re not in the mood for a film – if not, pick a series you know you can just keep watching so you don’t have to find anything else.
Some of my favourite shows are Suits, White Collar, Gossip Girl, Scandal, Mad Men – all perfect binge-watching material.
Snacks can make or break this perfect pamper night – trust me! I should encourage you to pick a healthy option but that’s what every other night of the week is for, right?!
My perfect spa night snacks often include cookies, popcorn and some melted chocolate and fruit.
